inform | Remembrance Day at Captain Nichola Goddard School

This year we will be holding our annual Remembrance Day Assembly on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

Photos of Family Members Who Have Served Canada or Her Allies

In preparation for our presentation, we are requesting that students bring in photos of any relatives that have served in the Canadian Military or Allied Forces. Photos that were submitted in previous years will be presented again this year, so there is no need to resubmit. Please send digital copies to captainnicholagoddard@cbe.ab.ca or send printed copies to our front office for scanning. Please ensure that printed pictures are well labeled so we can return them. Furthermore, please include a brief description with each photo including name, rank, where they served and who they are related to at the school.

Veteran’s Food Bank Drive

Starting November 1st our school will be collecting food bank donations for the Veterans Food Drive. Please consider sending a non-perishable food item with your child to school. More information can be found at http://www.canadianlegacy.org/veterans-food-drive/

Poppy Fund Donation

Students are asked to make a small donation on to the poppy fund, for the poppy that they will be receiving to wear during our school ceremony. This money will be collected on November 10th, prior to our assembly.
