Are you monitoring your child’s use of social media?

We are aware that students in our school are continuing to access the social media site AskFM. As we have indicated in previous communications with parents, this is an unfiltered, unmonitored site/app where individuals can post images and texts anonymously. This site is highly filled with sexual, violent and drug related language. It is a place where students can be subjected to or involved in bullying type behaviors. Fallout from students’ access to this site continues to filter into the school. We would again ask that all parents support us by ensuring that their children do not participate in this site.
